Mrs. Eva Tomashefski

Mrs Tomashefski was born in Pennsylvania and moved with her family to Illinois where she obtained a Bachelors in Psychology from Illinois State University.  She eventually moved back to Pennsylvania where she obtained a Masters in Education with dual certification as a School Counselor/School Psychologist from Bucknell University. She is a step, birth and adoptive mother of 4 children and currently has 5 grandchildren ranging in age from 16 to 6 years old with a 6th grandchild due in December. She and her husband have been married for 32 years, 26 of which were spent in State College (home to Penn State University) where they raised their 4 children.  They have been living in Arizona full time for the past 5 years, but have been coming to Arizona for many years to visit Mrs. Tomashefski's parents, who were snow birds. 

Mrs. Tomashefski's professional journey has included clinical experience at a private psychiatric hospital and as a child family specialist for community mental health. Her educational experience has included 14 years as a school counselor and/or psychologist in public and charter school settings, as well as substitute teaching in public, private, Quaker, Catholic and nondenominational Christian schools.  Her youngest daughter was adopted from Poland and her educational needs led them to the homeschool community where Mrs. Tomashefski taught, evaluated and provided consultation to over 50 children over a span of 10 years. Her professional passions include anger and anxiety management, ADHD, high functioning Autism, social emotional learning and teaching reading/writing.

Mrs. Tomashefski and her husband love to travel and she loves to create photo scrapbooks of their trips. Their travels have included trips to Turkey, Italy, Poland, Alaska, Hawaii as well as multiple road trips within the United States. Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Tomashefski also traveled to Scotland, England, France, Germany, Lichtenstein, Belgium, Switzerland and Austria.
