  • I am an Arizona native, married with three children, the youngest of whom is 16 and in high school. I have taught math for over ten years and before that was a chess coach/instructor. This is my fourth year at Cactus Shadows. I have a BA in math from University of California Santa Cruz and a MAEd from Northern Arizona University.

     Mathematics is sometimes called the language of science. I seek to help each student find their best ways to achieve understanding of the subject, to make it useful, and hopefully see some of the magic of the connections to the world.
