I am excited about having your son or daughter in my first grade classroom. Let me introduce myself. I have taught general and special education. I bring to teaching a solid academic background and have the appropriate certificates for an elementary and special education teacher. As a teacher, I believe in providing an environment in which my students can develop a sense of worth. Open lines of communication need to be present between parents, teachers and principals. This is a year of important transitions, maturity and as well as, the acquisition of new skills for your child. You will be amazed at how much your child will grow this year. Your child will blossom into a confident reader and writer. I will apply my knowledge, commitment and understanding to your child, providing a positive school experience. All academic content areas have been aligned with Arizona State Standards to insure that your child has a strong foundation to go on to the second grade.
