Welcome to my homepage! I grew up in Michigan.  I moved out here 30 years ago after graduating from the University of Arizona majoring in history. I am married with two wonderful children.  My daughter is a teacher in Tucson and my son is working for Amazon out in Seattle.  I have been teaching for 25 years and each one  has been a blast!  When I am not teaching, I enjoy coaching.  I coach the 8th grade Stinger girl's basketball team, 7th grade baseball team, and boy's volleyball team.  I also spend entirely too much time watching sports.  I am a huge fan of Michigan sport's teams.  Wolverines, Pistons, Lions, Tigers, Red Wings, I love them all. 

EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY:  I believe that all students can learn.  As teachers we must help students find what they excel in and areas in which they may struggle.  Then we must nurture their excellence and help them to figure out how to work on their problem areas.  Finally, I believe we must teach students the value of effort.  As Thomas Edison said, "Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration."
