Mr. Mark Lauch

Mr. Lauch has 16 years of experience teaching secondary science. He is highly qualified in Biology with an M. Ed. in Secondary Science. Other courses taught include Zoology. Mr. Lauchs' educational philosophy includes preparation of students for possible careers in science and/or real life applications of scientific principles and understandings. He has twentyfour years of professional experience in aquatic resource and fisheries management. Expertise includes collecting and analyzing field data, drafting technical reports, supervising technical staff and analyzing biological samples in laboratory. As a biologist, he has considerable training that includes fish community assessment, macroinvertebrate sample collection and identification, aquatic habitat inventory and improvement design, water quality analysis, aquatic weed and algae abatement and aquaculture management. Mark has studied numerous stream ecosystems using the U.S. EPA’s  Rapid Bioassessment Protocols and Index of Biotic Integrity; and the USDA Forest Service’s Hankin-Reeves technique. He also has a strong understanding of habitat improvement technologies and is called upon to design habitat enhancement plans for various stream, reservoir and lake systems. Mr. Lauch has working knoweledge of manufacturing, sales, marketing, distribution, human relations, employee relations and overall office function.
