  • Dear Parents and Students,

    As I’m sure you are aware, CCUSD will be transitioning to online learning for the remainder of the school year.

    Online course work will begin Thurs, April 02.

    Online Resources: All course work will be available via my Google Classroom. The steps required for students to access or enroll in my Google Classroom are:

    • Go to Google Classroom. 
    • Click on the +  and select join a class
      • Period 3 (Geometry Essentials) - 5hp4m2g
      • Period 4 (Math Essentials) - eus7wc5
      • period 6 (Essentials Skills)- pvaqw4a
    • Enter the class code that corresponds with the class you take (I did add all students and necessary para support to each class)

    Weekly Assignments/Grades:  I will be giving 2 assignments each week that will be graded based on completion and accuaracy.  My two math classes will will be given assignmentsd that we previously learned as well as interactive "real world" situations pertaiining budgeting, making purchases, and taking measurments.  All of the directions will be posted in my Google Classrooms. Assignments must be completed "on time" to get full credit.

    For my Essential Skills class,  their assignments will be to respond to a weekly prompt/question and to complete a weekly grade check (please include any questions or support you may need).  Grades will be based on completion by end of the given week.  All of the directions will be posted in my Google Classrooms. Assignments must be completed "on time" to get full credit.  

    Attendance:  Attendance will be taken daily through Google Classroom.  I will post a daily assignmet where you will need to open the assignment and click "Mark as Done," and then submit.  This will need to be done between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm.  

    Communication:   All initial communication will be done through email; ccencer@ccusd93.net.  I will be checking my email throughout the day.  From there we can set up a pnone call or a video conference through Zoom.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.  This situation is new for all of us, so we're all in the same boat.  

    *For all of the students I case manage, we will be setting up a 30 minute Zoom video conference once per week.  This can be done in a small group  or individually based on your preference.  Please refer to the email I sent out Tuesday March 31st.  The most difficult part of this will be setting up times.  I am in the process of creating a Signup Genious account so students can sign up for times.  

    Here are some guidlines for Zoom......I will be offering Zoom video conferencing Monday - Thursday during the given period times (check my class schedule).  If you would like to participate, please send me an email so I can invite you.  These video conferences can focus on academics, or just having a conversation.  Parents are free to join, again, just send me an email so I can invite you, or you can use the same computer as your child.  If you need assistance with this  I can give you directions.
