Lone Mountain Elementary School is an A+ STEAM School where innovative teaching methods are used throughout the campus to inspire, educate, and engage students in all content areas, but specifically in the application of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics as it relates to serving and changing our local community within our global society. One of the key tenets of STEAM is the concept of the engineering-design process to solve problems. At Lone Mountain, we have adopted the terms to teach the engineering-design process:

Not only do Lone Mountain teachers incorporate these concepts into daily instruction across their content area-instruction to teach students to solve problems, but we utilize this process as a school community to continuously improve our learning.
