CCUSD accepts open-enrollment students year round.
Information packets and applications are available at each school and the District Office.
The school shall notify the student and parent in writing whether the student has been approved for open enrollment, placed on a waiting list pending the availability of capacity, or rejected. The school shall also notify the resident school district of an applicant's acceptance or placement on a waiting list.
Important note: When a non-resident student transitions to a new campus, the family will be required to reapply for open enrollment if they do not live in their school's attendance zone. The incoming school will then look at capacity to determine if there is space for open enrollment students to be accepted. Students transitioning from elementary to middle school will need to submit an application to the middle school. Students transitioning from middle school to high school will need to submit an application at the high school.
