Nicole Weideman

Hello Families,

I am excited to be teaching Developmental Preschool at Lone Mountain Elementary.
I can't wait to work with and meet all of you.

I have been in the field of Early Childhood for 24 years. Most of this time I have been teaching in preschool classrooms, but I have also worked with First Things First and Southwest Human Growth and Development, where I assessed early childhood classrooms.

When not at work, I like to play card games, read, swim, travel, hike in our beautiful state, and spend lots of time with my two ADORABLE dogs, Quincy and Lola.

I am looking forward to a great year!

Educational Philosophy

  • I believe that young children learn best through developmentally appropriate play and it is our responsibility as adults to provide a safe and joyful environment for them to grow and learn. This environment starts with responsive, caring relationships and predictable routines. All domains of development are important and interconnected. It is our responsibility as adults to foster each child's individual development in the domains while recognizing and supporting them as part of the learning community.
