Deanna Pipitone

Hello! My name is Mrs. Pipitone and I’m looking forward to this school year. I am excited about returning to Lone Mountain after a 3-year break. I taught the Program for Academic and Language Success for 12 years in Cave Creek Unified School District. I believe education is not one-size-fits all; therefore, it’s important for me to know my students as individuals so I can tailor my teaching to meet their needs. Watching my students grow and succeed is why I decided to return to the classroom.

I received my Bachelor of Education in Special Education from Arizona State University and my Master of Education in Special Education and a graduate certificate in Assistive Technology from Northern Arizona University.

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my husband, 2 adult children, and our 2 dogs.  I love to travel in our RV with the goal of visiting all the national parks.

Educational Philosophy

  • Through my years as a special education teacher, I have learned that all children are unique with their own learning styles. No two students have ever been the same, so I must differentiate instruction to meet my students’ individual needs. This creates a
positive learning environment for each student. By establishing an educational environment where students can grow academically, physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially, their independence increases as they work to achieve their full potential.
