Hello! My name is Ms. Gurri and I am so excited to be working with your students! Here is a little bit about me…I was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, where the winters are cold and snowy. Looking for warmer weather, my family and I moved out west to Cave Creek, Arizona, about 18 years ago. We love it here!

I am a mother of three energetic children, ages 19, 18, and 16, and two crazy (but loveable) rescue pups who collectively keep me full of life and filled with love!

I received a B.S. in Accounting from Le Moyne College, Syracuse N.Y. in 1994 and an M.B.A. from Indiana Wesleyan University, Indianapolis, I.N. in 2004. I left working professionally to raise my three children. I decided to return to school several years ago to pursue my love of learning and children and earned a M.Ed. in May 2014 from Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, A.Z. I also completed an Early Childhood Endorsement that same year.

As an educator, it’s important for me to come in each day with an open mind, an open heart, and a sense of humor.
