About Me and My Teaching Philosophy 

I recently moved to Cave Creek from Alaska. I love nature and the Dbacks! My passion for education began with my work with military families. I am an advocate for experiential learning and feel that students learn best by doing. I worked for the Air Force where I taught outdoor adventure to teens in Alaska for four years. My teen program included backpacking, ocean kayaking, rock climbing, and more. This adventure in my life solidified my passion for teaching and led me to become a teacher of Biology. I love science and the natural world and feel lucky to apply this passion to my career.
