• Welcome to Mr. Shipp's History Class!
    Room # 1102

Student can expect to read and write often in this class. History is not just rote memorization of facts that will be forgotten by the next school year. Learning history requires historical empathy, critical thinking, understanding of causes and effects, and an ability to demonstrate these skills through writing. Ultimately, I understand that historical knowledge might be forgotten; however, the ability to think critically and write in a clear and logical manner will be lifelong, invaluable skills that will benefit students far into their post-high school careers.
