Sonoran Trails Athletics
Welcome to the Athletic Department at Sonoran Trails Middle School. GO STINGERS!
The baseball schedule has been posted. As of right now Deer Valley has decided not to allow spectators at our athletic events. I was told that may change as we have some time before our first contest. All of our meets and games are away. A bus is being provided to all of our athletic events but if you wish to bring your son/daughter to and from our contests please go to the Away Game Map and Addresses page to download the CCUSD transportation waiver and turn in to the front office.
All baseball players can bring their bags to the gym first thing in the morning for storage.
Cross Country season will follow the track & field season. More info later.
About STMS Athletics
Sonoran Trails Middle School offers a wide range of interscholastic sports. The 7th grade teams will compete in the North Valley Middle Level Conference (NVMLC) with 4 Deer Valley schools: Deer Valley, Hillcrest, Desert Sky, Highland Lakes and Union Park. The 8th grade teams will compete in the DVCC 7/8 Conference against Deer Valley, Hillcrest, Desert Sky and Highland Lakes.
There are five sports physical forms that need to be turned in to the front office before your son/daughter can practice or participate. They include the Athletic Emergency Information Form, Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation Form, Pre-Participation Physical Examination Form, Concussion Statement and Acknowledgement Form and the Athletic Handbook signatures (page 6). All forms are on this web page.
The athletic programs offered at Sonoran Trails are funded through a parent supported pay to participate program with an athletic fee of $155 per season. The Athletic Fee Form with the $155 athletic fee (may be Tax Credit) must be paid after making a team and before the first regular season game, meet or match.
