Welcome! My name is Colleen Neiman and I will be your child’s math teacher this year. I am excited to get to know you and your child throughout this school year. Learning is a top priority at Lone Mountain Elementary, so I would like to begin the year by clarifying my behavioral expectations and routines that will help us to maximize learning and ensure that all students feel connected to our classroom community. All Lone Mountain students follow our school guidelines in common areas of the school. These guidelines ensure a positive approach to behavior management that focuses on treating all people (students, teachers, and parents) with dignity and respect. Within the first week of school, ask your child about how they are expected to behave in the hallways, restrooms, cafeteria, and playground and expect to hear voice levels and clear expectations.
My class expectations are: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Kind. I will teach these expectations on the first day of school and review them throughout the year. I am excited to support you and your child this year as we learn and grow together. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email me.
Let’s make this a great year!
