Capital Raise Committee Purpose

Because traditional funding alone isn’t enough. Our kids deserve better — and we’re done waiting for bonds or overrides to pass. We want to build a strategy to unlock untapped revenue potential through:

  • Business & corporate sponsorships
  • State & private grant opportunities
  • Naming rights, donor partnerships, and tax credit boosts
  • Strategic campaigns that don’t raise taxes

This committee will shape the future of funding for:

  • Programs that attract and retain top students and teachers
  • Athletics and extracurricular activities to aid in student attraction and retention 
  • Campus safety, infrastructure, and facility upgrades
  • Clean and updated campuses 

Timeline:

  • May–June: Committee launch and members established
  • August 19: first meeting at 5:00 PM at the Cactus Shadows High School Lecture Hall
  • September 16, 30: meetings at 5:00 PM at the Cactus Shadows High School Lecture Hall
  • October 21: meeting at 5:00 PM at the District Office Governing Board Room
  • October 28: Present recommendations to the Governing Board at the Work-Study meeting at 6:00 PM at the District Office Governing Board Room. 
  • Post-October: Activate new funding ideas/recommendations
