Facilities Focus Group

The Facilities Focus Group began meeting in May 2024 with the goal of exploring how to best utilize the facilities that CCUSD possesses. The group presented their findings to the Governing Board at a meeting December 3rd. The presentation is posted below. The Governing Board will decide how to proceed at their December 10th meeting. This page will be updated with new information as it becomes available. Parent/ Student School Closure FAQ

The decision to consider school closures, pending Governing Board approval, is rooted in a commitment to ensuring the best possible educational experience for all students. By consolidating schools, the district can focus resources more effectively to provide high-quality programs, maintain reasonable class sizes, and address long-term financial sustainability in the face of declining enrollment. This process prioritizes creating a stronger, more equitable learning environment where every student has access to the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. While change can be difficult, this decision allows us to preserve essential services, support our educators, and invest in the future of all CCUSD students.
