Hello! Welcome to second grade and the 2020/2021 school year! I am so excited to be teaching in the Mandarin Immersion program at Horseshoe Trails! Some of you may remember me from kindergarten at HTES where I worked with Mrs. Harrison as an aide for several years. I was so inspired by the program, and the teachers that I decided to go back to school to pursue my career in education. I completed my Master's in Education at Grand Canyon University in 2017. Next, I did my student teaching in first grade at HTES, and then finished out that year as a long-term substitute teacher, also in first grade at HTES. This will be my third year of teaching in second grade, and I am thrilled to be a part of the amazing Mandarin Immersion team!

My "Why" statement:
I teach because I want to inspire a love for learning, and make school a place where all of my students want to be every day.
