Kindergarten Students
It is District practice that Kindergarten students are to be picked up at bus stops by a parent, guardian or someone authorized in writing by a parent or guardian. Click here for an Authorization Form Return the completed form by email to [email protected] or give it to your bus driver.
We request your cooperation in order to assure that your Kindergarten student is dropped off in a safe and efficient manner. Please meet your child at the bus stop so that the bus driver is able to actually see you and ascertain that you are there - this is especially true when there is a substitute bus driver. Many parents wait in cars where the driver can only assume that the authorized person may be in the car. When bus drivers are forced to make assumptions, it creates a safety concern for your child. If a bus driver cannot identify that an authorized person is at the bus stop to pick up a Kindergarten student, the bus driver will be returning that student back to the elementary school.
