Kate Christensen

Kate Christensen is an Arizona Certified School Psychologist and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. She obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from New Mexico State University.  She attended graduate school at Northern Arizona University and earned her Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology.  Kate is the school psychologist at Lone Mountain Elementary School for the 2017-2018 school year.

Shannon Morse

Dr. Shannon Morse joined the Cave Creek Unified School District in 2012 and is a nationally and Arizona certified school psychologist. Shannon earned her master’s and doctorate in school psychology at Northern Arizona University.  She has 12 years of experience working with all age levels as well as teaching classes at the university level.  Shannon previously worked in the Kyrene School District and currently is the school psychologist at Desert Sun Academy and Sonoran Trails Middle School.  Shannon is also the Lead Psychologist for the 2017-2018 school year.

Jordan Nelson

Jordan Nelson was born and raised in Cave Creek and looks forward to working in her hometown. She is currently an intern and recieved her training as a Specialist in the School Psychology  Program at Texas Woman's University. Her research interest is in Video Self-Modeling interventions targeting social, behavioral and funtioning deficits for children and adolescents with autism, intellectual deficits, emotional disabilities and ADHD.

Susan Nelson

Susan Nelson has been a school psychologist in the Cave Creek School district since 2003. She currently is the school psychologist for the Postive Learning Center K-12 and Lead Psychologist for the 2017-18 school year.  She is also the dristict trainer for Crisis Prevention. She is a proud graduate of Cactus Shadows High School class of 1987.

Mary Pat Swinford

Mary Pat joined the Cave Creek School District in 2013 and currently works at Cactus Shadows High School. She received a Bachelor of Science from Texas Women’s University, a Master of Education (ME.d.) from Arizona State University, and was a special education teacher in the Scottsdale Unified School District.  She completed her Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology at The University of Arizona.  She is dedicated to support students and their families to help realize potential at both school and everyday life.  She feels continuously humbled by their resiliency and determination.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, running and traveling.

Dawn Trueblood

Dr. Dawn Trueblood is a nationally certified and licensed school psychologist. She earned her master's and doctorate in school psychology at Northern Arizona University. She has 12 years of experience with all age levels. Dr. Trueblood has taught and supervised graduate students in assessment and field experience for over six years. She stays current in the field by attending many professional workshops and seminars throughout the school year. Her placement for the 2017-2018 school year is at Black Mountain Elementary School and Cactus Shadows High School. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, one year old twins, and her dog, Lucy.
