Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education Master's in Elementary Education

Mrs. Zoerb

I have taught elementary school for over 17 years, twelve of them have been at Horseshoe Trails.  I have taught second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, and kindergarten, and I have enjoyed them all.   Third grade is where my heart really is though, and I am happy to be teaching third again this year.

I married my best friend, Brad, 25 years ago, and together we have two children who went through their elementary years right here at Horseshoe Trails. My daughter, Mackenzie, is a sophomore at Grand Canyon University.  My son, Austin, is finishing up his degree at NAU.  We also have two furry, loving golden retrievers,  named Hanalei (after our favorite town in Kauai),  and Kainoa.   They are terrible guard dogs, but great cuddlers. In my spare time I love to travel and spend time with my family.

My classroom theme is Ohana.   Ohana means family in Hawaiian.   Though I am not from Hawaii, I have been fortunate to visit the island many times. Years ago, I decided to bring the Hawaii theme into my classroom.  Fostering an environment that is kind and respectful and feels like 'family' is very important to me. Once you are part of my 'Ohana', you are always a part of my 'Ohana'!  Teaching is my passion, and I am excited to share this coming year with you all!
