Ms. Groh
I would like to take a moment and introduce myself. I was born and raised in southern Illinois and completed an Elementary Education degree at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Upon completion of my degree, I began working on my Master’s in Educational Psychology Counseling. I later began my professional career working with Adult Education (GED) and Family Literacy. After eight wonderful years, I decided to return to my first love, “TEACHING.” I taught both second and third grade in inner-city Chicago and first grade at Desert Willow and Horseshoe Trails.
My role as your child’s teacher extends beyond teaching reading, writing, and math. I will provide a learning environment that encourages students to deepen their academic interests and investigate their questions. I will implement activities that promote student responsibility, problem solving, and student accountability. Learning activities will include whole class instruction, small group, student led, and one-on-one instruction to activate and reinforce the learning process.
