Hello!  My name is Sandy (Borth) Bagley and I am a sixth grade teacher here at HTES.  I am from Minnesota originally, but moved to Arizona and attended NAU where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  I student taught in a multiage 1-2-3 class and then I substituted in CCUSD K-5 before being hired at BMES where I taught 4th, 2nd, and 3rd grades.  I worked there for 10 years. 

When HTES opened I made a move to our school and have been teaching here since our opening.  I have taught in this district for 25 years. 

I have training in many areas including writing, Cognitive Coaching, Kagan, and various computer program trainings that are required by the district (Infinite Campus, Google, etc.). 

I am a seasoned teacher who believes that all children are capable of learning and I am willing to meet each child where they are as they enter my classroom.  I use the standards, adopted materials, interactive activities, humor, classroom rapport, music, and many other items from my "craftsmanship bag" to inspire and teach all of my students.

I love what I do and know that I must be of service to my students to make a difference in the world.  I look forward to working with all of you.
