My name is María Mayeux and I am originally from México. I have been working in the Cave Creek District for 10 years. My hope is for my students to develop a strong sense of global awareness by the time they move on from Desert Sun Academy. It’s important that they learn to be tolerant and accepting of others that could be different from them--that is a real world skill that will help them forever and in any future job or relationship. My class promotes a CAN DO attitude with regards to learning Spanish. Everyone can learn another language and this is the perfect age to start!
