The 2022-2023 school year will be my 24th year teaching, and my 21st year at Cactus Shadows.  Prior to moving to Arizona, I taught at an alternative high school in southeast Michigan.  Throughout my career I have taught a variety of Social Studies course offerings including: Geography, Current Events, Sociology, United States History, World History, and Civics, but am most experienced at teaching Government and Economics.  Outside of the classroom, I also sponsor Student Council and teach the Student Leadership class.  In my free time I enjoy sitting on the beach with a good book, exploring our National Parks, spoiling my nieces and nephews, trying new recipes, and spending time with family and friends.
