My name is Antonella Nechtman.  I am originally from Illinois.  My family and I moved out to Arizona in 1986.  Currently, my parents and two brothers, along with their families, all live in the Valley.  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Education in 1998 and my Masters in Educational Leadership in 2001.  I began teaching in Cave Creek in August 1998.  My first two years, I taught Spanish to K-5 students and then I spent twelve years teaching 5th grade.  I then was out of the classroom for three years to work part time as a school psychologist's assistant, still in Cave Creek, while raising my youngest son.  In 2016, I came back to teaching 4th grade. I am excited to be going back to 5th grade for my 25th year in the district. 

My husband, Marc, and I have two boys; Lorenzo-15 and Eli-10.  Lorenzo attends Cactus Shadows and Eli is at Black Mountain. Most of my spare time is spent at sporting events with my boys.  In the rare occasion I get some time to myself, I like to shop or spend time with my family and friends. 

I am looking forward to a great year engaging my students, partnering with parents, and growing as a teacher!

My goal is to have my students grow in all areas of their development.  It is important to look at their social emotional, academic, and physical well being.  My classroom environment will support this growth throughout the year!
