Hi! My name is Cassie Day. This is my second year at Cactus Shadows High School. I live in Cave Creek and my children go to Cave Creek Schools. My family moved here from Indiana in February of 2021 for my husband's career. I have 5 children, 2 cats and 1 dog- I love animals! I enjoy reading, hiking, swimming, playing board games and thrifting in my spare time. I LOVE to cook and cook family dinner almost every single evening- it is a priority to me that my family all sits down together to break bread. 

This is my 19th year teaching. I've taught just about every subject and at every grade level. I taught elementary for 4 years, junior high for 5 years and all the rest has been at the high school level. In elementary, I had to teach everything from math to science. In middle school I taught Early United States History. At the high school level, I've taught US History, Sociology, Psychology, World History, Human Geography, AP Psychology and AP World History as well as IB Psychology and Theory of Knowledge. I earned my Bachelor's of Arts from Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!) with a major in US History and Secondary Education, and minors in Geography, World History and Psychology. I began graduate school working towards a Master's in Earth Sciences at IUPUI in Indianapolis, but life got in the way and I have not yet completed this degree.
