Hi students and parents! My name is
David Gantz and I am from Harvard, MA.
Honored to teach music to children in preschool through 12th grade over the last 24 years, I am thrilled to be teaching music at Horseshoe Trails Elementary School!
Highlights of my career have been teaching for Imagine Schools and at the Arts Academy at Estrella Mountain in Tolleson to 1300 students in grades K-8. In 2016 and 2017, I was guest clinician for the Pendergast Honor Choir Festival where students sang my original songs, including “Can We Be Better Than We Are?,” “All I Can Do Is My Best,” and “We Will Sing.”
My character education songs have been recorded recently by members of the One Voice Children's Choir in Utah, who have appeared on America's Got Talent and have over a billion views on Youtube.
I hold a Master of Music degree with an emphasis in music education from the University of Florida. Additional study was completed at Berklee College of Music.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy writing songs for school curriculums with positive messages with themes which raise students’ self- esteem, kindness, achieving their personal best, believing in ourselves, and making the world a better place.
My focus this year will be developing a love and appreciation for music while nurturing the skills necessary for students to reach their full potential as young musicians.
