Mrs. Kelli Siegel
This will be my 15th year working in CCUSD and my 8th year as a proud Preschool teacher in our district, teaching and guiding my 3 - 5 year old students as they begin their journey in school. My career in early childhood education started back in 2009 as I worked with the amazing Mrs. Paul at DSA as her Kindergarten aide. From 2010-2016, I was a paraprofessional in Developmental Preschool. In 2016, I became a Head Teacher for the ECS-CCUSD Preschool Program and continue in that role today.
A little background on me....I am an AZ native but my favorite place in the world is Hawaii...or spending time on a beautiful beach, anywhere! In my free time, I am committed to practicing Pilates, I enjoy taking my rescue dog -Sadie- on walks, and spending time with my family. I currently live in Scottsdale with my husband and have two sons who both attend my alma mater, Arizona State University (Go Devils!) My oldest son -McCade- is entering his senior year in Barrett The Honors College & the W.P. Carey School of Business while also playing for the ASU Rugby Team. My younger son -Cannen- will be entering his sophomore year at ASU studying Communications and is a Student Assistant/Defensive Line Coach for the Sun Devil Football Program. **Fun fact: Both of my sons were students in the ECS / CCUSD Preschool and had Mrs. Miller as their Teacher Assistant!
I graduated from Arizona State University in 1992 with a B.A. in Communications. I completed post-baccalaureate Early Childhood studies through Rio Salado and Paradise Valley Community Colleges, earning a minor in Early Childhood Education. I have my Arizona Dept. of Education - Early Childhood Teacher Certification, Birth-8. I am a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and continue my passion for staying relevant in the early childhood education field through professional development training, workshops, webinars, reading research-based articles, etc. I believe it is important to instill a love for learning and exploration in my young students while inspiring them to be compassionate, independent and happy human beings during these precious early years.
