Degrees and Certifications:

Madame Christine Boisson

Salut and welcome to 2/3rd French Immersion! This will be my first full year with Desert Sun after having started in February of this past year.

A brief background:

I was born in France among the lavender fields and salt mountains of Provence and moved to the United States when I was two years old. I grew up speaking both English and French in my household, even though raising children to speak two languages proved quite difficult at times. With a French father and a French language specialist mother, there wasn't a chance that I would stray from maintaining my native tongue. It may have been frustrating as a child, but I can't thank them enough now as speaking two languages has enormously impacted my academic, social and professional life.

A native Creeker, I attended Black Mountain Elementary School for fifth grade, Desert Arroyo Middle School and graduated from Cactus Shadows High School in 2013. I'm thrilled at the opportunity to teach at CCUSD, as the education I received through the district was truly second to none.

I didn't stray too far from Cave Creek for university, as I completed my Undergraduate Degree in both Art History and Museum Studies with a minor in French from ASU. I decided to travel a bit further for my Master's degree in History of Art and completed those studies at University College London in 2018. Diverting a bit from academia but still itching to learn, I completed my 200h Yoga Teacher Training at the end of 2018.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine and the French language, in particular, holds a very dear place in my soul. I can't wait to share the incredible gift of being bilingual with you!

Stay kind :)
