    An Epic Poem that we will read in its entirety during second quarter. We will split the reading into three sections:

    *There's also an audio version posted to Google Classroom 

    * We also have the movie "Beowulf" from 2007 that we are watching and analyzing with discussion questions (posted to Google Classroom).

    This poem focuses on using symbolism to convey the seriousness of a certain issue the author is trying to warn the readers about. It is meant to be a cautionary tale.

  • Fairy Tales

     Students read ONE of the stories posted to Google Classroom, which is as close to the original version as I can find. 

    Students read a couple poems and one set of song lyrics mocking certain fairy tales.
