PRE AP ENGLISH 1
A Little Something About Me:
I was born and raised in Eastern Montana. I am from a very small town; my graduating class was only 42 students. I graduated from Montana State University with a BA in English Education and a minor in Library Science. My first teaching job was as a school librarian for a small consolidated district in Montana. I then went to Alaska and was an English teacher and the reading program facilitator at a small school in Savoonga, Alaska. After three years, I moved to North Dakota where I taught English in two separate districts.
I moved to Arizona July 4, 2020. It was quite a change for me, considering that Cactus Shadows is larger than any town I have ever lived in. I enjoy hiking, and Camelback is my absolute favorite in this area. I also enjoy watching sports, especially high school sports. I have been able to be the announcer and bookkeeper at various activities at my various schools in the past and am looking forward to doing the same for the Falcons.

Educational Philosophy:
Teaching is an ever-changing process where students and teachers can learn from each other and from their surrounding communities. I feel that it is my responsibility to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom. I aim to give students a safe environment where they are invited to share ideas and take risks. In addition to guiding students in their academic endeavors, I am here to help them become people of good character and contributing citizens of the world.
