    -Hello and here are your Daily Announcements for November 7th, 2022

     

    -This week is shortened due to the observance of Veterans Day this Friday.  Please plan accordingly.

     

    -All students must enter through the main gates, as the library gates have been closed

     

    -If you are a senior or attend EVIT you must exit the campus through the front gates please!  This is for the safety of the school, thank you.

     

    Clubs/ Activities

     

    -Attention all AP students, please make sure and check with your teachers that you are signed up on the AP portal.  The tests are being ordered and you don’t want to miss out.  Please see Mr. Gregg for any questions.

     

    -Are you interested in playing in a Smash Bros event on Saturday, November 12th at Paradise Valley Community College at 11am-3PM? Lunch will be provided at this event. If so, email or see Mr. Naylor in Room 316 for more information. 

     

    -In the spirit of giving, key club is hosting a food drive for Foothills Food Bank from November 1st to November 22nd. The class that donates the most non-perishable food will be given an ice cream party. Please make sure to only donate non perishable foods such as canned food, pasta, jellies/jams, peanut butter, or powdered food/ drinks

     

    -National Honor Society of Cactus Shadows is currently supporting Helping Hands of Arizona with a seasonal toy drive. Please donate a new or unboxed toy between now and December 9th. Your donation will go directly towards those in need this holiday season. All toys will be donated through Helping Hands of Arizona, a non-profit charity that seeks to help the foster care community. Toys for all ages are welcome, please give now by looking for boxes in your teachers' classrooms or drop off donations in room 402. 

     

    -Yearbooks are ready for order in the bookstore.  The longer you wait, the more expensive it gets, so reserve yours today.

     

    -Joker’s Improv Show will be putting on a show this Thursday, November 10th at 7pm in the Lecture Hall. Tickets are $10 on GoFan




    Athletics

     

    -Congratulations Falcon Swim & Dive! Our swimmers and divers had a fantastic State Meet this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Iona Moffat placed 2nd for the diving competition with a score of 455.85. Helping the Girls’ Team finish 10th overall. For the Boys, they finished 6th overall, with impressive swims. Their 200 Freestyle Relay with Cody Bauer, Quinn Crisostomo, Lex Oltjenbruns, and Nicholas Chandler placed 4th at State. We also had several individual stand-out races: Cody Bauer taking 5th place in both the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Butterfly and Quinn Crisostomo capturing 5th place in the 100 Breaststroke. Thank you for a great season CSHS Swim & Dive.

     

    - Come out and support our Falcons Volleyball team as they play in the semifinals tomorrow  at Notre Dame.  Game time is 6pm.
