Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I'm excited to be teaching 7th grade Spanish World Language and Spanish Immersion here at Sonoran Trails Middle School. I am loving every minute of it! 

I grew up in Costa Rica and attended both my school and university there. In 2011, I obtained my masters degree in International Teaching from Framingham State University, MA. I moved with my son to Phoenix in 2019 and he is now currently attending 7th grade at STMS. I love to watch movies, dance, travel and of course teach! When I'm not teaching, you will find me spending time with my family and friends. 

I look forward to an amazing school year filled with new opportunities for growth, learning, and friends!

Education Philosophy

  • I am a Costa Rican citizen and it is with great enthusiasm that I am teaching in the Cave Creek Unified School District. I have over 10 years of teaching experience in Montessori, elementary and now middle school levels.  I am a passionate teacher and my goal is to inspire my students to become long-life learners. I am also a bilingual educator who can advocate the importance of learning a second language and the opportunities it brings to one's education.   

    You will find me to be dedicated, well organized and most importantly to work interdependently in order to achieve student’s growth. I strongly believe that with my experience, my knowledge, and my educational background I will make a positive contribution to our school.
