MEDIA CENTER

The Black Mountain Media Center has available books, periodicals, reference books and other materials for the students and staff. The goal of Black Mountain Media Center is to encourage students to develop a life-long love of reading and to provide materials for classroom research and projects.

At this time the library will be staffed by volunteers.  Our Library Volunteer Chairperson, Dr. Abby Hemingway, will be volunteering as well as helping to staff the library this year.  Mrs. Howard will be our Library Director this year and will be working with our former librarian Mrs. Bauer.

Every week each class will have the opportunity to visit the library during a scheduled library visit with their classroom teacher.

Circulation policies:
K-1 students - 2 books

2-5 students - 2-3 books

Books are checked out for 10 days, but may be returned sooner. Books may be renewed. Lost and damaged books must be paid for by year's end.
