Happy New Year!

新年快乐

To celebrate the Chinese New Year, the 6th graders were able to attend a Chinese Acrobatics performance at STMS. Have a look at this 2,000 performing art from China that requires complete integration of mind and body.

Thanks to ASU Confucius Institute for hosting a performing arts troupe from Tianjing University (the oldest university in China). The perfromance was a Spring Festival Gala called The Melody of Harmony. (Below)

OUR VALUABLE PARTNERSHIPS

Thanks to ASU's Confucius Institute and Hanban (Ministry of Education in China), Lone Mountain School has been awarded a "Confucius Classroom School" designation for its Mandarin Chinese Programs. LMES is one of 100 such schools in the entire United States.

We would also like to acknowledge our unique partnership with SIAS University in China that has provided us with opportunities for teacher exchanges. SIAS University is a prestigious American University in China and the only one allowed to fly the U.S. flag. The College Board has also awarded Lone Mountain School with a guest teacher from China. This is a program that is dedicated to outreach activities and assisting beginning Chinese programs.
